Rajput Driving School is an MTO-approved online driving school in Windsor. You do the classroom part of the Beginner Driver Education (BDE) course online, at your own pace, then finish with 10 hours of one-on-one driving with one of our instructors.
Online BDE follows the same Ministry of Transportation standard as a classroom course. When you finish, you can take your G2 road test 4 months sooner (8 months after getting your G1 instead of 12), and you can save up to 20% on car insurance.

What's online and what's in the car
Every BDE course in Ontario is at least 40 hours. Here's how ours is split.

That's 30 hours you can do from home and 10 hours in the car. The online classes cover the rules of the road, road signs, defensive driving and spotting hazards, and the in-car lessons put all of it into practice on real Windsor roads.
What it costs
Our online BDE course is $799 $450 + HST. That covers all 40 hours, including pick-up and drop-off for your in-car lessons, and we certify your completion with the MTO when you finish. DriveTest's own test fees are separate and paid to DriveTest.

How it works, step by step
- Enroll online. You need to be at least 16.
- Start the self-paced online classes. You don't need your G1 yet to begin.
- Finish your 20 hours of online classes. The MTO requires the classroom part to be done before in-car lessons start.
- Get your G1 if you haven't already. You need it before your first in-car lesson. Here's how to get your G1 in Windsor.
- Book your 10 in-car hours. We pick you up in Windsor, LaSalle, Tecumseh, Lakeshore, Amherstburg or Belle River. The MTO allows up to 2 hours of in-car training a day.
- We certify you with the MTO. There's no paper certificate. Your driver record is updated online.
- Take your G2 road test as early as 8 months after getting your G1.
You have 12 months from the day you register to finish everything.
Is online driver's ed legit?
Yes, as long as the school is approved. Ontario has allowed the classroom part of BDE to be taught online since March 2020, and the Ministry sets strict rules for every approved online course. Students can do at most 5 hours of online classes a day, pages are timed so nobody can click straight through, and your identity is checked when you log in and before each test.
Rajput Driving School is on Ontario's list of government-approved driving schools, and the list shows our online course as available. You can look up any school there, along with the schools that have lost their approval. An approved school only certifies you after you've completed all 40 hours, including the in-car lessons.

You can do the online part from anywhere in Ontario, but your 10 in-car hours are with our instructors in Windsor-Essex.
